Japanese company Tohoku Electric Power. Tohoku Electric Company is the fifth largest energy company in Japan, which provides services to both residential and industrial enterprises in six prefectures in the Tohoku (north-eastern part of Honshu Island) and in Niigata Prefecture. Long-term supply contract was signed on Sakhalin LNG company Sakhalin Energy and Tohoku Electric in 2006.
Deregulation measures in Japan have led the company to enter new markets, including the wholesale marketing of natural gas and LNG. The company also has construction, telecommunications and other operations.
