John Ray
John Ray is the creative director of menswear line of Gucci. Ray is a native of Scotland. The designer had originally Education designer, before that, he studied graphic design and worked at an advertising agency. In order to study fashion design John Ray moved to London, he enrolled at Central St Martins College, and then to the Royal College of Art. His first work as a designer was in Katharine Hamnett, where he was responsible for the male line. By Tom Ford, creative director of Gucci Group, the designer joined in 1996 as a consultant for men’s clothes. Five years later, Ray was appointed vice-president of men’s clothing line, Gucci, and now controls all the product categories this direction.
